Glory be to the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit

I love the simple Liturgical prayer, known as Gloria Dei,

“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.”

Amen

Thoughts of the Trinity motivated me during a recent speaking opportunity. I hope you’ll read more …

Quite unexpectedly, I was invited to share at two different church’s women’s retreats in September.

Perhaps because it has been a while since I have spoken to a large group, I felt the need to pray very intentionally about these gatherings.

As I prayed, the Holy Trinity often came to my mind, and I believe I was given three thoughts, which I spoke over the special women who ranged in ages from young adults to great grandmas.

After returning home, I decided that perhaps someone reading this post may be encouraged by these messages.

-- Know you are specially, uniquely, and Divinely designed. God, the Father, loves you unconditionally as you are, NOT as you aren’t.

-- God the Son, loves you so much that he invites you, “Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. … Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG)

Sometimes, your best prayer may simply be, “Jesus, help me!”

-- God, the Spirit loves to lead and reminds you that spiritual growth is ongoing, but can seem oh, so slow. Start from where you are, NOT from where you think you SHOULD be.

Above all, trust in the slow work of God.
